The mission of the Lexington Historical Association is to preserve and interpret the history of the Lexington, Missouri area, through archving and displaying significant artifacts and papers.
To encourage preservation of our 1846 Cumberland Presbyterian Church within which our museum is located
To preserve significant artifacts relating to the history or the Lexington area from the Native Americans to the present
To organize and store artifacts in such a way all of them are accessible to researchers in an appropriate form and setting
To preserve the most significant and other selected artifacts in displays that meaningfully explains the history and culture of the Lexington area to the general public
To provide a meeting and work place for the members of the Lexington Historical Association and other historically oriented groups to carry out the above tasks
